Bogus online used car exporters from Japan

We would like to warn our customers about bogus online used car dealers who disguise themselves as Japanese used car exporters.  An article published in East Africa news, these fake online car dealers from Japan have been cheating customers by offering vehicles at throwaway prices pretending that they are winding up their firms due to bankruptcy due the economic crisis.  Such schemes operated by bogus online Japanese used car exporters have caused a loss of over $5 million to vehicle importers from East Africa.

Unsuspecting car importers, mainly from Tanzania and other East African countries have lost millions of dollars due to these scams.  These car importers were lured into buying used Japanese cars by the low prices offered by these fake online exporters.  Many of these Web-based used car exporters are phony companies, which disappear once they receive the payment from customers.  Many of these fake companies are actually owned by Tanzanians living in Japan, who sell used motorcycles, cars, and trucks.

Online Car Dealer Scam

The scam operates in the following fashion

  • Customer can not get in touch with the dealer after sending payment.
  • The dealer does not ship the vehicle for a long period of time.
  • Vehicle received by customer is different from the vehicle he ordered and of low quality.

Please follow these safety precautions to avoid being scammed

  • Make sure that the dealer’s address is noted on his website.
  • Do not deal with companies whose phone numbers start from 81-90 or 81-80 (Mobile phone numbers).  Such dealers are hard to trace and can easily disappear.
  • Make sure that the dealer is an authorized member of [JUMVEA (Japan Used Motor Vehicle Exporters Association).
  • Some of the bogus companies involved in such scams are ‘Global Trading Co Ltd’, which is alleged to have become bankrupt, and ‘Car Zone Japan’, which is alleged to have cheated 9 customers for  over $90,000 and not delivered any cars. Other fake used car exporters include ‘41 Expo Inc. Ltd,’ ‘Progress Ltd’, and ‘The Trading Club’. We request our customers to take note of such bogus online car dealers from Japan.

We believe in delivering high quality vehicles to our customers and we feel sorry that such unscrupulous car dealers are tarnishing the image of Japan.  Please beware of such bogus car dealers and keep enjoying shopping with us.

I also did not think that a company registered in japan, having a bank account with
    The Bank Of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ
    Shibuya Branch
    Branch Cod 135
    Swift Cod No. BOT KJPJT
    Account No 0112290
Beneficiary Name Car Zone Japan . where I transfered $ 12.800 could do such a filth , of course we all know about western Afrika’s scams which had started in late ‘80 ,,, but such scams happening in japan ? What a shame .
While correspondence would be on with the Car zone Japan for the deal of 3 cars with export manager Mr Alan Hall who had called me couple of times , I noted his frequency of voice , his style of english accent (and correspondence language too) which would sound a person from south India ( I speak 5 of the indian languages and can recognise an Indian who is from India )
Had a quotation for 2 cars first from Car Zone Mr Alan Hall with an invoice,
then immidietly another person namely thierry@royal.com started sending me e mails almost every third day offering me cars at 40% discount which I never responded .

When I found out the scam , e mails would be on auto reply ,
Car Zone japan had a stagnant web page indicating ” We are updating out website with new arivals please visit us on 15th of Sep09 ” in few days time the web page vanished and thierry@royal stopped sending me cheap offers for exactly 20 days .
Later soon I started recieving the same offers from royal-trading.jp.
After a little self invastigation I went to the website of royal-trading.jp.
intending to buy a tractor .
I called the office in Yokohama branch but Nobody replied the Land line phone, later I called Nagano Matsumoto office, land line responded by an Indian man Mr Thierry . You know what ? I am sure this man is Alan Hall as I have already memorised his Voice frequency while talked to him as Alan Hall of Car zone Japan .

This means there is direct connection between Car Zone japan and Royal-Trading.jp
I have many forensic clues to be produced to Interpol Japan enabling them an easy way to catch Alan Hall of Car Zone if anybody shall obliged to connect me with any Japanese authority .

    regards
    gzalera from zanzibar Tanzania

    Hello Girish,

You better file a complaint with the Japanese embassy in your country as well as with the Interpol agency. Next time you better deal with a company which is a member of JUMVEA.

Regarding your comment, there are hardly any Indians in Japan dealing with used cars in Japan. But there are many Pakistanis in this business and they have the same accent as Indians, so it may be difficult for you to recognize their nationality.
